Who needs GST Registration?
In India, GST registration is mandatory if you fall under any of the following categories:
- Turnover Limit: ₹40 Lakhs for Goods (Normal States), ₹20 Lakhs for Services, and ₹10/20 Lakhs for Special Category States.
- Inter-State Supply: If you sell goods from one state to another (e.g., Maharashtra to Gujarat), registration is mandatory irrespective of turnover.
- E-commerce Sellers: If you sell goods online via Amazon, Flipkart, etc. (Exceptions exist for certain service providers).
